What is the “GABA” effect I should expect?

GABA is a natural neurotransmitter that helps your brain “slow down” and relax. When drinking this tea, most people experience a state of calm focus. It doesn’t make you sleepy like herbal tea; instead, it removes the mental “noise” and anxiety, making it perfect for deep work or creative sessions.

Is it safe to drink GABA tea every day?

Yes. In fact, in many cultures, it is consumed daily for its health benefits, such as helping to lower blood pressure and improving sleep quality. Since it has a low caffeine-to-GABA ratio, it is much gentler on the stomach and nervous system than coffee or black tea.

Why do I need to “rinse” the leaves first?

Because these leaves are tightly rolled into pearls, they need a “wake-up call.” A quick 5-second rinse with hot water helps the leaf begin to unfurl. This ensures that your first actual cup is full of flavor and that the GABA crystals are fully activated.

Can I brew this tea in a regular teapot?

Absolutely. While it excels in traditional Gongfu style (multiple short steeps), it is very forgiving. You can brew it in a glass, a mug with a strainer, or a teapot. Just make sure not to leave the leaves in the water too long – pour the tea out once it reaches a beautiful golden-amber color.

Classic Method: 3g per 200ml | 90°C | 2-3 min. A simple way to enjoy the honey-berry sweetness. We recommend using a glass mug to watch the pearls slowly unfurl into full leaves, creating a clear amber infusion.

Gongfu Style: 5g per 120ml | 90°C | 10s, 15s, 20s. The “Rinse & Reveal”: Pour hot water and discard immediately to wake up the GABA crystals. For subsequent steeps, pour water gently along the rim. This method highlights the complex transition from floral honey to deep forest berry. Can be steeped 7-8 times.

Cold Brew: 8g per 1L cold water. Leave in the fridge for 8-12 hours. This slow extraction removes almost all bitterness, resulting in a crisp, ultra-sweet nectar that is incredibly refreshing and calming.
